How Annie Got Her Groove

If you had known me in 1970, you would have noticed that I was a bit…abnormal. I started talking very early and once I got the hang of it, I rarely stopped to take a breath! I remember lying in my “big girl bed,” wondering about how to express my thoughts and reviewing what I’d learned that day about the “right” way to speak (I know~abnormal). Curiosity about communication, it seems, was in my DNA.

During my first 33 years of life, I was much more interested in mastering communication with others than in communicating with my own, deeper self. I earned advanced degrees, studied effective leadership and achieved success as a manager, speaker and consultant. However, I wasn’t truly happy.

I didn’t realize that my overall sense of well-being hinged on the communication going on inside my mind, body, heart and spirit.

On the outside, it looked as if I had everything together. The truth, was I felt empty. I was an excellent worker and respected leader, but I had no groove. I had forgotten how to do anything but work and I was constantly worried I might disappoint someone. Blech!

Eventually I became so annoyed by the nagging sense of yuck that I decided to turn my attention toward my inner experiences and reach out for help. When I learned how to notice the communication coming from my heart, body and spirit, it became so much easier to resolve uncomfortable emotions and thoughts,  and to give energy to my biggest dreams.

I reconnected with my innate wisdom and remembered how to enjoy life. Soon, I began attracting clients who were ready to transform their own lives. They shifted from being dominated by internal and external conflict to enjoying true connection and freedom. That’s what I wish for you too.

How Annie Got Her Groove...Again

Between 1999 and 2015 I invested massive amounts of time, energy and money in healing from my history of traumas. I broke my pattern of attracting unkind relationships and unfulfilling work, met and married a truly wonderful man who adored me, and finally began to relax into my life.

Then, in 2015, just four months after moving to a new town and starting a new job, my dear husband was diagnosed with penile cancer. You might imagine how devastating that was for him, and for me. Just over one year later he passed away, and so did my joy, my place in my world, and my hope.

Since then I have, once again, walked through many stages of healing with the help of my mentors and friends. I'm chronicling this transformation on my blog

By early 2020, joy returned, hope was renewed, and I opened up to a new relationship with an incredible man. I got my groove back...and I can help you get yours too.
